GoPMM Talent: Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 June 2026. These terms apply to everyone who uses GoPMM Talent, both candidates and recruiters. Where a section applies to only one side, it says so.

Plain summary

GoPMM Talent helps product marketing candidates and recruiters in India find each other. To do that, we collect private information from candidates, including a CV, and show it to recruiters only when the candidate has chosen to share it. We build the portal to keep a candidate's information away from anyone the candidate has not consented to share it with. We do not promise anyone a job or a hire. The sections below are the full terms. If anything here conflicts with this summary, the full terms govern.

Part A: Terms of Use

1. About GoPMM Talent and these terms

GoPMM Talent is a community-driven hiring portal for product marketing candidates and recruiters in India. It is owned, operated, and managed by GoPMM, a professional community run by Varun Trivedi and Vipul Nanda, who are its proprietors and operators. In these terms, "GoPMM Talent," "the portal," "we," "us," and "our" refer to GoPMM and its operators.

By creating an account or using the portal, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the portal. For any question, concern, or grievance, write to vipul@gopmm.in.

2. The nature of the service and our commitment

GoPMM Talent is a community-driven portal designed to help product marketing candidates and recruiters find each other safely and securely. The process requires us to collect private and personally identifying information about a candidate, and to share that information with recruiters based on the candidate's own choices and consent.

We will make the best possible efforts, and design the system, to prevent any recruiter, group of recruiters, or any other person a candidate does not want to be visible to from finding, accessing, or using that candidate's private information without the candidate's explicit and specific consent. This is a commitment to design and effort. It is not a warranty that the system can never fail, and Section 10 sets out the limits of what we can promise.

Once a candidate gives explicit consent to share their information with a recruiter, that recruiter may hold and use that information, including the candidate's CV, for the purpose of recruitment. From that point, what the recruiter does with the information is between the candidate and the recruiter, and our responsibility for it ends.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use GoPMM Talent.

Candidates may sign up with any email address. Recruiters must sign up with a working company email address. We block personal email providers and academic domains on the recruiter side, and we review recruiter sign-ups before granting access to candidate information. We may refuse, suspend, or remove any recruiter account at our discretion, including accounts we cannot verify or that we believe misrepresent who they are or who they work for.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, for keeping your password safe, and for everything done through your account. Tell us at vipul@gopmm.in if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

4. Candidate content and consent

You keep ownership of your CV, your profile, and everything you upload. By uploading it, you give us permission to store it and to show it to recruiters in line with the visibility choices you set and the consents you give. You confirm that the information you upload is yours to share and is accurate.

Your contact details are not shown to a recruiter until you accept that recruiter's request to talk. Accepting a request is your consent for that recruiter to receive your name, email, and any phone number you provided, and to receive your CV. You can change your visibility choices or remove your information at any time, as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Candidate obligations and conduct

If you use GoPMM Talent as a candidate, you agree to all of the following. The CV and profile you upload must be your own and accurate. Do not misrepresent your experience, your current or past employers, your designation, or your salary. Conduct yourself professionally with recruiters, both on the portal and after contact moves to email. Do not attempt to bypass, probe, or defeat the portal's access controls, and do not try to identify recruiters the portal has not shown you in order to approach them off the portal.

When a recruiter downloads your CV, it is watermarked with that recruiter's company and a timestamp, and the download is logged and shown to you. This protects you, because any leaked copy is traceable to the account that downloaded it. If we find that what you have claimed is inaccurate, or that you have behaved in a way we consider unprofessional or abusive, we may suspend or remove your account for breach, on the same basis as any other user.

6. Recruiter obligations and acceptable use

If you use GoPMM Talent as a recruiter, you agree to all of the following. You will use candidate information only to assess and contact candidates for genuine roles at the company you signed up under. You will not scrape, bulk-extract, resell, or republish candidate information. You will not share a candidate's CV or contact details outside your own hiring team. You will not contact a candidate through channels they did not consent to. You will not attempt to bypass, probe, or defeat the portal's access controls, or to identify candidates the portal has not shown you.

Every CV downloaded from GoPMM Talent is watermarked with the downloading recruiter's company and a timestamp, and every download is logged. A leaked CV is traceable to the account that downloaded it. Misuse of candidate information is a breach of these terms and may also breach Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We may suspend or remove any account for breach, and we may share relevant records with a candidate or with authorities where the law requires or permits it.

7. No guarantee of outcomes

GoPMM Talent is a place to find each other. It is not a guarantee of an outcome. We do not promise a candidate a job, an interview, or any recruiter interest. We do not promise a recruiter a hire, a shortlist, or the right person for a role. What we offer is the opportunity to find the right role, and the right candidates, outside the crowded general-purpose portals. Whether a match leads anywhere is between the candidate and the recruiter.

8. Acceptable use for everyone

You will not use GoPMM Talent for any unlawful purpose, upload anything that is false, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights, impersonate any person or company, or interfere with the portal's operation or security. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that breach this section.

9. Suspension, termination, and your right to leave

You can stop using GoPMM Talent and delete your account at any time. The Privacy Policy explains what deletion removes. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we cannot verify, or where we reasonably believe continued access puts other users' data at risk. Where it is fair and lawful to do so, we will tell you why.

10. Disclaimers and limits of liability

We provide GoPMM Talent on a reasonable-efforts basis. We work hard to keep candidate information safe and to enforce the protections described in these terms and in the Privacy Policy. We cannot promise that the portal will be free of every error, interruption, or security failure, and no online system can be made perfectly secure.

To the extent the law allows, GoPMM, its operators, Varun Trivedi, and Vipul Nanda are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for the conduct of recruiters or candidates toward each other, for hiring or career decisions made using the portal, or for what a recruiter does with information after a candidate has consented to share it with them. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

11. Changes, governing law, and grievance contact

We may update these terms as the product grows. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, tell users in the portal. Continuing to use GoPMM Talent after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Kochi, Kerala have jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable rights you have under Indian law. For any grievance, including a privacy grievance under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, write to Vipul Nanda at vipul@gopmm.in. We aim to acknowledge grievances within a reasonable time and to resolve them within the timelines the law requires.

Part B: Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, who can see it, and the rights you have under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"). GoPMM is the data fiduciary for the information you give us. In DPDP terms, you are the data principal. Vipul Nanda is our grievance officer, reachable at vipul@gopmm.in.

12. What we collect

From candidates, we collect: your name, email, and an optional phone number; your years of experience, level, current employer, and designation; your industry, location, work-mode, and notice-period preferences; your current and expected salary expressed only as a band, never as an exact figure; and one CV file that you upload.

From recruiters, we collect: your name, work email, declared company, and declared designation, and the company identity we derive from your email domain to verify you.

From everyone, we record activity needed to run the portal and keep it safe: account and verification events, and, for recruiters, the profiles viewed, CVs downloaded, and contact requests sent. We show this activity to the candidate it concerns, so a candidate always sees who viewed their profile, who downloaded their CV, and who asked to talk.

We store salary as bands on purpose. A leak of "35 to 50 LPA expected" is far less damaging than a leak of an exact figure, and bands give recruiters everything they need to filter. We never hold the precise number, so we can never leak it.

13. Why we collect it, and your consent

We collect this information for one purpose: to help candidates and recruiters find each other for product marketing roles. We do not use it for unrelated purposes. This is purpose limitation, and it is a requirement of the DPDP Act that we take seriously.

We process your information on the basis of the consent you give when you sign up and when you choose to share your profile or accept a request to talk. You can withdraw consent at any time by changing your visibility settings or deleting your account. Withdrawing consent does not undo sharing that already happened with your consent. For example, if a recruiter downloaded your CV while you were visible to them, that copy already left the portal.

14. Who can see your information, and when

A candidate's identifying information stays hidden from recruiters until the candidate chooses to share it. Recruiters browse candidates as masked profiles that do not carry a name, employer, or contact detail. A recruiter sees a candidate's full profile, CV, name, or contact details only through an action the candidate has consented to.

The portal is built so that a recruiter from a candidate's own current employer cannot reach that candidate's profile, CV, or contact details by any path on the portal. We design for this as a default of the system, not as a setting a candidate has to find and switch on.

Contact details, your email and any phone number, are shown to a recruiter only after you accept that recruiter's request to talk. After you accept, the recruiter holds your CV and your contact details for the purpose of recruitment, and what they do with that information is governed by your dealings with them and by law.

15. Transparency and logging

We log every recruiter action that touches a candidate's data: profile views, CV downloads, and contact requests. The candidate sees these on their dashboard. Every CV a recruiter downloads is watermarked with that recruiter's company and the date and time of download. If a CV is leaked, the watermark and the log together trace it back to the account that took it. This is how we keep recruiters accountable for the information they receive.

16. Aggregate analytics

GoPMM may study the portal's data in aggregate to understand the Indian product marketing market and to publish reports, for example salary-expectation distributions or notice-period patterns. This is separate from recruiter visibility and it never exposes an individual.

When you sign up, you agree to the following.

For candidates:

I understand GoPMM may use anonymized, aggregated data from this platform (such as salary expectation distributions, role demographics, notice-period patterns) for market research and published reports. My name, employer, CV, and contact details are never included in any aggregate or report. This is separate from my recruiter visibility settings.

For recruiters:

I understand GoPMM may use anonymized, aggregated behavioural data from this platform (such as how my company's activity compares to peers, not my individual actions) for market research and published reports.

We protect against any individual being identified from an aggregate. Any figure we look at internally is built from at least five people; if a group is smaller than that, we suppress it. Any figure we publish externally is built from at least twenty people, and no published cut combines more than three characteristics at once, so a reader cannot narrow a cell down to one person. Names, employers, CVs, and contact details never appear in any aggregate or report.

17. Your rights under the DPDP Act

As a data principal, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these, write to vipul@gopmm.in. You can do most of it yourself from your account settings: edit your profile, change your visibility, replace or remove your CV, or delete your account.

18. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile information and your CV file from the portal.

Some records are kept after deletion, for two reasons. First, the activity log is insert-only by design, because a candidate must be able to trust that the record of who saw their data cannot be quietly erased. After you delete your account, we retain the minimum activity records needed for security and for our legal obligations, and we detach them from your contact details so they no longer identify you to other users. Second, we cannot reach into a CV that a recruiter already downloaded with your consent; that copy sits with the recruiter and is governed by your dealings with them.

If you want to know exactly what is removed and what is retained in your specific case, write to vipul@gopmm.in.

19. How we protect your information, and the limits

We protect candidate information with access controls enforced at the database, work-email verification for recruiters, watermarking and logging on CV downloads, and storage of salary as bands rather than figures. We restrict who inside GoPMM can reach raw data, and we log internal lookups.

No online system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. People with the highest level of technical access needed to operate any platform can, in principle, reach the underlying data; we keep that group as small as possible and hold it to this policy. If a breach occurs that affects your information, we will act on it and notify affected users and the authorities as the DPDP Act requires.

20. Children

GoPMM Talent is for working professionals and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

21. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product grows or as the law requires. We will update the date at the top and, for a material change, tell users in the portal. The current version always governs.
